Free Area Attractions
 

You can borrow passes to the attractions listed below with your library card. Unless specified, each pass must be returned to the GPL the same day it is borrowed. Use the library's drop boxes to return passes when the library is closed. Thanks to the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library for providing these passes.

NOTES: Borrowers may reserve ONE (1) attraction's pass for any given day.
Patrons must have a PIN (instructions) to reserve passes online
There is a limit of 4 open requests at any one time.

ericcarle ERIC CARLE MUSEUM OF PICTURE BOOK ART at 125 W. Bay Rd. in Amherst. Hours Tuesday - Saturday 10 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4. (413) 658-1100 for exhibit listings. The pass is good for up to two adults and four children. Visit www.picturebookart.org for additional information.
 
historic deerfieldHISTORIC DEERFIELD is off Routes 5 & 10 in Deerfield. For current hours and exhibits, call (413) 774-5581. Regular hours are daily 9:30 - 4:30. The library has two passes, each of which is good for four admissions and both may be borrowed for a party of more than 4. Present the pass at Hall Tavern to pick up admission tickets to the museum houses.
  Magic WingsMAGIC WINGS BUTTERFLY CONSERVATORY AND GARDENS: Routes 5 & 10 Deerfield. Open 7 days/ week, fall & winter 9-5, spring & summer 9-6.  (413) 665-2805. Due to a change in Magic Wings's pass policy, each pass will now only cover ONE admission. NOTE: There may be times when this pass is unavailable. Please call the library before picking it up.
         
springfield museumSPRINGFIELD MUSEUMS ON THE QUADRANGLE. Phone (413) 263-6800 for current hours & exhibits. Half price admission for 4 people to the 4 museums: Springfield Science Museum, George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum; Connecticut Valley Historical Museum; Museum of Fine Arts. Regular admission fees are $12.50/adult; $9/seniors; $6.50/children 3-17. Pass does not cover special exhibits.

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM AT HOLYOKE
444 Dwight St., Holyoke. Hours are Wed.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 12-4. The pass admits 6 guests (18 mo. & under are free). The pass does not cover special events, workshops, or performance fees. (413) 536-KIDS.
   MA ParksMASSACHUSETTS PARKS PASS. Entitles the bearer to free parking for one carload of visitors at over 50 facilities in the MA. State Parks System that charge a day-use parking fee. Clark Art Institute THE STERLING AND FRANCINE CLARK ART INSTITUTE 225 South Street, Williamstown, MA. Admits 2 adults and two children 13-17 (children under 13/ full-time students with I.D. are free.) between June and October. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10 to 5. Open Mondays in July and August only. Admission is free November 1 through May 31. Admission may be charged for special exhibitions. BrattleboroBRATTLEBORO MUSEUM AND ART CENTER The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1972, with a mission to present art and ideas in ways that inspire, educate, and engage people of all ages. Museum galleries are open daily except Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; please check for holiday and exhibit change closings. The Museum is wheelchair accessible, and parking is available in front of the building. Each pass admits 2 adults and their dependent children in the same household for FREE.

  

MysticMYSTIC AQUARIUM 55 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic, CT. This pass admits 2 adults and 2 children at reduced admission rates. From February through October adult reduced admission is $19.00 each and child reduced admission is $14.00 each. From November to January adult reduced admission is $16.50 each and child reduced admission is $11.50 each. For hours of operation, please check Mystic's website or call (860) 572-5955.
         

Town of GreenfieldGREENFIELD POOL PASS The Green River Swimming and Recreation Area has a covered Pavilion area, large picnic area, charcoal grills, basketball court, sand volleyball court, sandy river beachfront and guarded swimming area, a concession stand and restrooms. The library has 4 passes, each for 1 person. More than one pass can be borrowed at a time. June to Labor Day. Call (413) 772-1553 for information.

  

Basketball Hall of Fame NAISMITH MEMORIAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME 1000 West Columbus Avenue, Springfield, MA. This pass admits up to 6 people at reduced admission rates. Rates for adults are $12.00 and for kids (5-15) are $8.00. The Hall of Fame is open Sunday - Friday from 10 to 4 and Saturday from 10 to 5. There are some Mondays the Hall is closed. For specific events or hours, please see the Hall of Fame's website or call (877) 4HOOPLA.

MAA MoCAMASS MoCA 1040 MASS MoCA Way North Adams, MA 01247. This pass admits up to 2 adults and 2 children (under 16). Regular museum hours are 11:00 - 5:00 (closed Tuesdays). Summer hours (June 27, 2009- September 9, 2009) are 10:00-6:00 every day. Call (413)MoCA-111 for information on gallery exhibits or or special events.
         

Mohawk Trail ConcertsMOHAWK TRAIL CONCERTS Thanks to the generosity of Mohawk Trail Concerts, the library is able to offer a voucher for 2 free tickets to each Friday and Saturday night concert on the following dates: July 2/3, July 16/17, July 23/24, July 30/31. The person borrowing the pass must contact the Box Office at 625-9511 by the Thursday before the concert so tickets can be held aside. Vouchers must be returned to the library after the concert.
