THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4 DUE TO WEATHER.
The Greenfield Public Library is pleased to host children’s book illustrator Brendan Flannelly-King reading the newly released picture book Good News Nelson by Jodi Moore. This all-ages activity will take place in the Levanway Meeting Room at the Greenfield Public Library on Monday, January 28 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Brendan will talk with an all-ages audience about the book and his work as an illustrator.
An excerpt from the book description: “Nelson delivers the news. Cranky old Mrs. Snodberry complains about the news. But when the headlines expose the plight of 100 abandoned cats, they both realize that the news is more than just a paper on a doorstep... The story dramatizes that children can do big things...and that bad news can turn to good news when everyone works together.”
If you like books, newspapers, cats, or artists, come to the library for this free event. For more information contact Children’s Librarian Kay Lyons at (413) 772-1544 ext. 5.
The library will be closed Monday, January 21 for Martin Luther King Day. We will reopen Tuesday morning at 9:30am.

Happy Holidays to all our patrons!
On Tuesday, December 18, C/W MARS will be performing an upgrade to our circulation system starting at 5:30pm. While the upgrade is in process, we will not have access to the circulation system. In order to check materials out of the library, you will need to have your library card on hand. As we will be using our back-up system, we will not be able to look up your library card number, place holds, or pay bills. This will also affect Overdrive, the Tixkeeper museum pass reservation program, Freading, and Freegal. We have been told the system will be back up and running on Wednesday morning.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
