Book Groups@GPL

The GPL has several ongoing book groups. All are free and open to anyone who wants to attend. Check our events calendar for exact dates.:

Book Groups for Adults

  • Classics Book Group
    The Classics group meets the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00pm. Previous authors discussed have been Charles Dickens, Edith Wharton, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Louisa May Alcott. Previous themes have been Soldier Boys, Wanton Women, and Classic Mysteries. Books are available at least three weeks before the meeting.
  • KnitLit
    KnitLit is a drop-in book discussion/craft group held Thursday mornings at 10am. Bring your craft and come ready to talk about what you are reading right now!
  • Book Groups for Youth

  • Kids' Reading Club
    Join local educator Rachel Roberts for this monthly book club for kids. This group is aimed at kids ages 7-9 and books can be read aloud or independently. Each class will feature a book discussion, a fun project based on something from the book, and book summary project. Please be sure to have finished the book before the meeting.
