How Much Can I Borrow?
Patrons can borrow up to fifty items on a library card using any combination of the items listed below:

  • New books - No limit
  • Best Seller Collection- 3
  • Fiction - No limit
  • Non-fiction - No limit*
  • Magazines - No limit
  • Music CDs - 20
  • DVDs (including Children's) - 4
  • Videos - No limit (VHS only)
  • Books on Tape - No limit
  • Books on CD - 4
  • Graphic Novels - No limit
  • Items on hold - 10

*The Library reserves the right to limit the number of materials on any one subject, depending on demand.

How Long Can I Keep the Materials I Have Checked Out?
Magazines, videos and DVDs can be checked out for 1 week and everything else for 3 weeks unless stated otherwise. Items that come from other libraries may be due at a different time. Be sure to check the materials you have borrowed.

Can I Renew Materials?
Most items can be renewed once. Items that have been requested by another patron or have been borrowed from the Virtual Catalog or from an Out of Network Library cannot be renewed. Renewals can be done over the phone or online from our catalog at your convenience.

What are the Late Fees?
Late fees are $1.00 per day with a $5 maximum for videos and DVDs; $.10 per day with a $3.00 maximum for most other items; $5 per day for Museum Passes; and $1.00 per day with a maximum of $10 for Out of Network items. Late fee charges must be under $10 to check out items or use the computers.
